A note on paper size
All of our prints are hand printed on to a handmade washi (Japanese paper). The washi (paper) we use has long natural fibres and a deckled or feathered edge. As all these are all handmade papers occasionally a slight variation may occur in the paper dimensions. We recommend including a tolerance of 10mm to each dimension.
Paper edge
Deckle edge paper has a soft feathery edge instead of a straight, machine-cut edge. This irregular edge on paper is the result of traditional paper-making techniques. We recommend celebrating and showing off this soft feathery deckle edge. We see it as a reminder of the handmade origin of the paper and a celebration of the craftsmanship of those who made it.
A note on orientation
All of our prints are designed to hang both vertically and horizontally. When you receive your print it is signed - but this is not an indicator of the “correct” orientation. So feel free to decide for yourself which way you feel will work best in your space.
